This Privacy Policy explains how Shape Your Brand LLC ("Shape Your Brand", "we", "us", or "our"), operator of Channel Pacer (the "Service"), handles personal information when you visit our website (channelpacer.com), create an account, or use the Service.
1. Who we are
Channel Pacer is a product of Shape Your Brand LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States. For the purposes of the EU/UK GDPR, Shape Your Brand LLC is the data controller of the personal information described in this policy (except where we process data on behalf of a customer, in which case we act as a data processor).
You can reach us any time at privacy@channelpacer.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to our marketing website at channelpacer.com.
- People who sign up for a Channel Pacer account (users, admins, teammates).
- People whose information a customer stores in Channel Pacer (for example, the partner contacts you add).
- People who email us or subscribe to updates.
It does not apply to third-party websites we link to. Those are governed by their own privacy notices.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data you give us
- Account data: name, work email, password (hashed), workspace name, role, and any profile details you add.
- Content you put into the Service: partner records, sample requests, launch data, notes, uploaded files, AI prompts, and anything else you type or import.
- Billing data: if you buy a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your billing name, address, and card details. We only see the last 4 digits of your card, the card brand, and the country.
- Communications: messages you send to hello@, legal@, or privacy@channelpacer.com, and support conversations.
3.2 Data we collect automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, clicks, timestamps, error logs, referring URL, device type, browser, operating system, approximate location inferred from your IP address.
- Cookies & similar tech: see section 6.
3.3 Data we get from third parties
- Authentication providers you choose to sign in with (email confirmation flows).
- Payment status and refund events from Stripe.
- Aggregated product-insights events from Snapsello (see section 7).
4. How we use your data
- Provide, operate, and secure the Service.
- Create and manage your account and workspace.
- Process payments, invoices, refunds, and taxes.
- Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing receipts, product notifications).
- Send marketing emails when you have opted in — you can unsubscribe any time.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Analyze aggregate usage to improve features, performance, and reliability.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
We do not use your customer content to train third-party AI foundation models. AI features (such as suggested next actions or drafted emails) run against models via configured API providers that do not retain your prompts for training.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, understand aggregate usage, and communicate about product updates in a way you'd reasonably expect.
- Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax, billing, and compliance records.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: session, authentication, CSRF, and load balancing. These cannot be turned off.
- Preferences: remember settings such as theme or last-visited workspace.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate site and product usage. We enable IP anonymization and do not use GA4 for cross-site advertising.
- Product insights: Snapsello to understand which product areas need improvement (page views, feature usage, aggregate funnels).
You can block cookies in your browser or use browser-level "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals; we honor GPC for opt-outs where applicable.
7. Subprocessors we rely on
We use a short list of vetted vendors to run the Service. Each is bound by a written data-protection agreement and only processes data on our instructions.
| Vendor | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud hosting provider | Application hosting, edge delivery | Global edge, US regions |
| Managed database provider | Primary application database | Ohio, United States |
| Stripe | Payment processing, invoicing, tax | United States (global) |
| Resend | Transactional email (receipts, verifications, alerts) | United States |
| Mailchimp | Marketing email, newsletters (opt-in) | United States |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate website analytics | United States (global) |
| Snapsello | Product insights, aggregate usage analytics | United States |
If we add or remove a subprocessor that materially handles personal data, we will update this list. Contact us to request the current list at any time.
8. Sharing & disclosure
We disclose personal information only in these limited situations:
- To the subprocessors above, strictly to run the Service.
- To other members of your workspace, based on the permissions you set.
- To professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality.
- To comply with law, valid legal process, or protect rights, safety, and property.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with notice to you.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
9. International data transfers
Our infrastructure is primarily located in the United States (application database in Ohio). If you access the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK Addendum with vendors that process personal data of EEA/UK residents, plus additional safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest.
10. Data retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active.
- Workspace content: kept while your workspace is active; deleted (or anonymized) within 30 days after workspace deletion, unless retention is required by law.
- Billing records: kept for at least 7 years for tax/accounting compliance.
- Backups: encrypted backups may persist for up to 35 days after deletion.
- Support & email logs: up to 24 months.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including:
- TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest for the database.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) so a workspace can only ever see its own data.
- Least-privilege access for staff, MFA required for admin tools.
- Continuous logging, automated backups, and vulnerability monitoring.
- Secrets managed via a secure vault, never committed to source code.
No system is 100% secure. If we ever become aware of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any right, email privacy@channelpacer.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are a workspace member and the request concerns content owned by your workspace, we may forward the request to your workspace administrator.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law.
13. Children's privacy
Channel Pacer is built for business users and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
